National Insurance Institute Branches Closed for Sukkot Holiday
Branches of the National Insurance Institute (Bituah Leumi) closed to the public on Friday for the Sukkot holiday and intermediate days, and will remain shut until October 4th. Public reception will resume on Monday, October 5th. During this period, it will not be possible to book in-person or phone appointments at the branches. The institute's telephone service centers will be available only on Sunday, October 4th.
However, the National Insurance Institute clarified that medical committees scheduled during the closure period will proceed as planned. Those with appointments should attend as scheduled.
Payments for long-term benefits for September have already been advanced due to the holiday, with funds transferred on September 22nd instead of the 28th. This includes payments for seniors, survivors, disability, disabled children, special services, mobility, work injury victims, alimony, rehabilitation, and long-term care.
