Samaria Region Unveils Extensive Sukkot Festival Program

The Samaria region is preparing to host thousands of visitors for Sukkot 2026 with a diverse lineup of cultural, natural, and heritage events scheduled throughout the intermediate days of the holiday. The Samaria Tourism and Regional Council have announced a program that includes festivals, revitalized springs, agricultural farms, boutique wineries, and hiking trails in the "Land of the Bible" area.

Yossi Dagan, head of the Samaria Regional Council, extended an invitation to the public, emphasizing the region's natural beauty and its role as a connection to the biblical heritage. "Samaria awaits you. We have prepared a wealth of events, festivals, and nature trails in Samaria's breathtaking scenery. Our definitive answer to all challenges, internal and external, is to continue traveling, continue building, and connect all segments of the people to the Land of the Bible," Dagan stated.

Key events include the "Samaria March" on Wednesday, September 30, a family-friendly adventure in the northern Samaria region from September 28-29 featuring an interactive game using an app, puzzles, and challenges at historical sites. Mount Ebal will host a festival on Thursday, October 1, with inflatables, crafts, pita baking, and a children's show, alongside guided jeep tours to Joshua's Altar and hiking trails.

Other attractions include tours of the ancient Samaria National Park (Sebastia) on September 28-29, a game and activity day at Mount Gerizim on September 29-30, and guided hikes in the lush Ein Kana Nature Reserve on September 28-29. The Alon Moreh Heritage Center will offer immersive experiences from September 27 to October 1, including escape rooms and virtual reality. A musical celebration, "Simchat Beit Hashoeva," is scheduled for September 29 at Ma'oz Tzvi.

Additional activities include tours throughout Samaria, an adventure park in Alon Moreh, visits to agricultural farms, off-road tours, and opportunities to swim in various springs like Yadidya, Amit, Ein Kefir, Rachamim, and Ein Al-Fuka. The region also boasts numerous award-winning boutique wineries and tourist accommodations.
