Israel Eliminates 16 Key Hamas Financial Operatives

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and the Shin Bet security agency have eliminated 16 key operatives within Hamas's financial network during the ongoing war. These individuals were responsible for managing fund transfers that financed both the military and political wings of the organization. According to defense establishment data, the eliminated operatives handled over $1 billion, operating a network of dozens of money changers in the Gaza Strip and other countries, including Turkey.

Among those killed were Ibrahim Abu Shamala, who managed finances for the military wing, and Muhammad Abu Alwan, responsible for the political wing's finances, who was eliminated last Wednesday. Other central figures involved in the organization's financial clearing, receipt, and transfer systems, such as Khader Jamasi, Ihab Karizem, and Hussein Kadra, were also neutralized.

The defense establishment stated that these funds were used for salaries, weapons procurement, infrastructure repair, and advancing terror operations against IDF forces and Israeli civilians. The strikes against the money changers and financiers have significantly disrupted Hamas's operational capabilities and ability to rearm during the fighting.

Concurrently, a warning has been issued to Gaza residents about other individuals operating in their vicinity who continue to transfer funds for Hamas, thereby endangering the population.
