Beitar Jerusalem's Yarden Cohen Undergoes Successful Knee Surgery
Beitar Jerusalem announced on Friday that player Yarden Cohen has undergone successful surgery to repair a meniscus injury. Cohen had been suffering from the injury since the match against Austria Vienna.
Initially, Cohen received conservative treatment in an effort to avoid surgery. However, after a reassessment of his condition, the club decided to proceed with the operation, which Cohen agreed to.
The surgery was performed successfully, and Cohen is expected to return to the field within six weeks. His further treatment and rehabilitation plan will be determined based on his progress.
Beitar Jerusalem's next match is on October 11 against Hapoel Ramat Gan, followed by a challenging game against Maccabi Tel Aviv on October 19. The team will then face Hapoel Petah Tikva, Ironi Kiryat Shmona, and Tiberias before the November international break.
Cohen participated in the team's European qualifiers, starting in both matches against Larnaca and the first game against Austria Vienna. He had not yet been included in the Premier League squad, despite being one of the team's top players last season with four goals and four assists.
