Beitar Jerusalem's Jordan Cohen to Miss Another Month Due to Injury
Beitar Jerusalem announced Tuesday that midfielder Jordan Cohen is expected to be sidelined for at least another month due to a persistent knee injury. Cohen has been suffering from meniscus damage and a collateral ligament strain, and continues to experience pain that prevents his return to play.
The team, currently in a break from league play, is preparing for the upcoming 2026/27 season. Beitar Jerusalem's next match is scheduled for October 11 against Hapoel Ramat Gan, followed by a challenging game against Maccabi Tel Aviv on October 19. The team will also face Hapoel Petah Tikva, Ironi Kiryat Shmona, and Tiberias before the November international break.
Cohen played in Beitar's European qualifiers earlier this season, starting in both matches against AEK Larnaca and the first leg against Austria Wien. Last season, he was a key player for Beitar, scoring four goals and providing four assists in the Israeli Premier League. Timu Muzip has been filling in for Cohen in recent games.
