Aviation fees in Israel are set to increase in 2027, impacting the final cost of air travel for passengers. These adjustments are conducted annually based on a regulatory mechanism, reflecting a 1.54% rise in the consumer price index and currency exchange rate fluctuations.

The departure fee from Terminal 3 at Ben Gurion Airport will rise to $37.68 from $33.87, an increase of $3.81 per passenger. For budget airline passengers using Terminal 1, the fee will go up to $17.36 from $15.61, a $1.75 increase per person.

These increased fees are often not itemized separately on tickets but are incorporated into the base fares by airlines and travel agencies, meaning consumers will likely bear the full or partial cost. The Airports Authority stated that the dollar-denominated price changes are solely due to currency fluctuations and the need to maintain the real value of revenues, not due to any additional structural increases in base rates.

The final tariff schedule is expected to be officially published by October 1, 2026.
