Israel Airport Authority to Increase Departure Fees for International Flights
The Israel Airports Authority (IAA) has announced an upcoming increase in departure fees for international travelers, effective for 2027. The annual adjustment, mandated by regulations from 1991, is tied to changes in the consumer price index and the dollar exchange rate. The IAA emphasized that beyond the required indexation, there are no additional increases in the fees.
The update for 2027 reflects a 1.54% rise in the consumer price index. Since the fees are set by law in Israeli shekels, the change in the dollar-denominated price is intended to maintain the shekel value of the tariffs due to fluctuations in the dollar's exchange rate.
For passengers departing from Terminal 3, the fee will rise to $37.68 in 2027, compared to $33.87 in 2026. Travelers departing from Terminal 1 will see their fee increase to $17.36 in 2027, up from $15.61 in 2026. The updated fee schedule is expected to be officially published by October 1, 2026.
