Israeli Ambassador Offers Starlink Terminal to Iranian Diplomat
Israel's Ambassador to the UN, Danny Danon, attempted to present an Iranian diplomat with a Starlink satellite internet terminal during events on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly. Danon approached the Iranian representative and stated that the equipment could be useful for ensuring free internet access.
"I thought it appropriate to give you Starlink... It can be very useful for you to allow the Iranian people to gain freedom after what you have done to them. So do you want to take it and deliver it back to Tehran? It can be very useful for you in Iran. We love the Iranian people and pray for a regime change there. This day will come," Danon declared.
The Iranian delegation's representative ignored the Israeli diplomat's gesture and did not react to the offer. The diplomat did not engage in dialogue, leaving the terminal unattended and making no attempt to take the device or respond to the Israeli side's statements.
