Fauda creator explains warning ahead of episodes about October 7 events

In an interview on 103FM with Gideon Oko and Amichai Attali, Avi Issacharoff, one of the show’s creators, said the team treated the material with exceptional care. “We approached these two episodes with great reverence,” he said, adding that writing and filming them involved even greater sensitivity. “There are so many people with post-trauma in this country, and we return to those moments, to the hardest hours of 3 a.m. and then 6:29 a.m. If those people watch this, it will stir something difficult. So we had to warn viewers.”

Issacharoff rejected claims that the warning was a publicity stunt to generate headlines before the season airs. “This is not a PR move, this is a subject that is close to our hearts,” he said. He also addressed viewers who may find the return to those hours emotionally difficult, telling them they can simply skip the two episodes. “Nothing will happen to the plot, next week we continue again with the regular episodes,” he said.
