Yes, the Israeli streaming service Yes has issued an unusual viewer warning ahead of the next episodes of Fauda, saying they may be "hard to watch." The current fifth season of the series is set after the events of October 7, and the production says the next two episodes recreate what happened that day.
According to the notice, episodes 7 and 8 will air this week and are based on the October 7 attacks. The message stresses that the two episodes stand on their own, and viewers can skip them without losing track of the season’s main storyline.
"Fauda viewers, please note," the warning said, adding that the two episodes include "content, sights and sounds that may be difficult to watch." It continued: "These episodes return to that terrible day and stand alone. If watching is too hard, it is also okay to skip them and join the season’s storyline, which will continue in next week’s episode."
Fauda is not the first television series to dramatize the events of October 7. It follows earlier productions such as Shahar Adom and Or Rishon, whose launch also stirred public debate over whether such a traumatic day should be turned into drama.
