Teenager from Hebron Steals Car in Jerusalem, Rams Police Vehicle

A 17-year-old resident of Hebron, who was illegally present in Israel, faces charges after stealing a car in Jerusalem and engaging police in a dangerous high-speed chase. According to the indictment filed by the Judea and Samaria District Police Prosecution, the suspect was brought from the Ramallah area, crossed the separation barrier, and received the car's location via WhatsApp, along with burglary tools and an Israeli SIM card. After breaking into the vehicle and driving off, a report was received by the Ma'ale Adumim police station, and officers prepared to stop him. Upon spotting the police, the suspect fled at speeds reaching approximately 200 km/h (124 mph), attempted to ram a police car, and lost control, crashing the vehicle himself. The suspect, who has never held a driver's license, was arrested at the scene. Following an investigation by the Ma'ale Adumim station, he was indicted for numerous offenses, including endangering a person in traffic, illegal entry into Israel, and vehicle theft. His detention has been extended until the conclusion of legal proceedings.
