IDF Paratroopers Recall Intense Battle in Southern Lebanon

During ground operations in southern Lebanon six months ago, paratroopers from the 101st Battalion were engaged in a search for a suspected location. At 3:30 AM, on the final floor they were tasked with clearing in the town of Bint Jbeil, they encountered two militants. The platoon commander and his lead sniper were both wounded in the ensuing firefight.

Recounting the dramatic night, the soldiers described the intense combat, including calls like "Militant on the floor above! Evacuate D!" The footage of this encounter has been revealed for the first time. The soldiers spoke about the strong camaraderie forged on the battlefield, which has continued into their recovery process.
