Police Uncover Major Arms and Drug Cache in Tayibe Operation

Israeli police and border guards conducted significant operations in the city of Tayibe on September 25th, targeting illegal arms and drug trafficking. During the first raid on a residential home, officers discovered two handguns, various weapons, and ammunition. They also found substances believed to be narcotics, with preliminary tests indicating approximately 1.7 kilograms of ecstasy and 1.3 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine. Two women were arrested at the scene and taken for questioning.

A subsequent operation at another location in Tayibe yielded three more handguns, parts for an Uzi submachine gun, and a substantial quantity of ammunition for different types of firearms. An additional firearm was found during a separate search in the city. Another local woman was apprehended on suspicion of involvement in these activities.

All seized items have been sent for forensic examination. The investigation is ongoing, with authorities working to trace the supply routes for the weapons and drugs. The police stated that the operations were part of a broader effort to combat crime in the area.
