Israeli Police Seize Millions in Drugs, Weapons in Multiple Raids

Jerusalem District police conducted a major raid on a facility in Moshav Achisamah, identifying it as a distribution hub for a large drug trafficking network. During the search, officers discovered a vehicle packed with illicit substances ready for sale, estimated to be worth 90 million shekels. The confiscated drugs included cocaine, ecstasy, MDMA, and ketamine. Three local men, aged 20 to 30, were arrested on suspicion of involvement in managing the network.

In a separate operation, Border Police and Northern District officers searched a stable in the village of Maghar for illegal weapons. They found a hidden arsenal within a refrigerator, including a Carlo submachine gun, a Brus rifle with ammunition, and a fragmentation grenade.

In Afula, Northern District police apprehended a 24-year-old man from the village of Sulam under suspicious circumstances near a residential building. He was found to be in possession of a military-grade hand grenade and evidence linking him to illegal activities.

Additionally, police responded to reports of gunfire in Tamra. Officers on patrol heard shots, pursued a suspect fleeing on a motorcycle, and apprehended him with a firearm. Two individuals sustained minor injuries and received medical attention. Investigations into all incidents are ongoing.
