Israel's Sukkot Holiday Expected to Be Mostly Dry, Meteorologist Says

The Israel Meteorological Service has issued an updated forecast for the Sukkot holiday, indicating that most of the country will experience dry weather, allowing for comfortable celebrations in the traditional sukkah huts. However, a brief period of rain is expected to pass through northern Israel on Monday, primarily affecting the Western and Upper Galilee regions.

While some showers are anticipated in the north, the Meteorological Service emphasized that these are not expected to accumulate into significant amounts. The updated forecast, released on the eve of the holiday, suggests that no disruptions are anticipated due to the expected precipitation.

Updated precipitation maps show that the majority of Israel will remain dry throughout the holiday and intermediate days (Chol HaMoed). The main focus of the expected rainfall is in the north, specifically the Western and Upper Galilee. Despite the possibility of short showers in the north on Monday, the overall outlook for Sukkot remains stable, with most of the country expected to be free of rain.
