Sports Ministry Advances Funding to 1,000 Organizations
Israel's Ministry of Culture and Sport has finalized the approval of its support model for sports associations and clubs, enabling a significant acceleration of funding transfers. Approximately 1,000 sports organizations nationwide will receive an advance payment of 70% of their allocated support funds as early as September, before the holiday recess.
This initiative is expected to provide budgetary certainty for about 90% of Israel's sports bodies. The early disbursement allows these organizations to continue their operations smoothly, plan future activities, and reduce their reliance on prolonged waiting periods for financial support.
Minister of Culture and Sport Miki Zohar stated that the ministry is fulfilling its promise to bring order to sports budgets and provide necessary certainty. He emphasized that instead of waiting until year-end, organizations will receive a substantial advance in September, enabling them to plan ahead, operate stably, and advance Israeli sports.
