Sports Ministry Approves Funding Model, Releasing 70% Advance to Clubs
The Israeli Ministry of Culture and Sport has finalized the approval of a support model for sports associations and clubs, enabling a significant advance in the transfer of funding. Approximately 1,000 sports clubs nationwide will receive 70% of their allocated support funds as an advance payment during September, before the upcoming Jewish High Holidays.
This initiative is expected to provide budgetary certainty for about 90% of sports organizations in Israel. The advance payment will allow these bodies to continue their operations smoothly, plan future activities, and reduce the need to wait extended periods for financial support.
Minister of Culture and Sport Miki Zohar stated that the ministry is fulfilling its promise to bring order to sports budgets and provide necessary certainty. He emphasized that instead of waiting until year-end, clubs will receive a substantial portion of their funds in advance, allowing them to plan stably and advance Israeli sports.
