Sports Ministry Approves Funding Model, Releasing 70% Advance to Clubs

The Israeli Ministry of Culture and Sport has finalized the approval of a support model for sports associations and clubs, enabling a significant advance in the transfer of funding. Approximately 1,000 sports clubs across the country will receive 70% of their allocated support funds as an advance payment during September, before the Jewish High Holidays.

This initiative is expected to provide budgetary certainty for about 90% of sports organizations in Israel. It allows these bodies to continue their operations regularly, plan future activities, and reduce the need to wait extended periods for financial support.

Minister of Culture and Sport Miki Zohar stated that the ministry fulfilled its promise to bring order to sports budgets and provide necessary certainty. He highlighted that instead of waiting until year-end, nearly 1,000 clubs will receive a substantial advance in September. Zohar emphasized that this is a significant step enabling sports organizations to plan ahead, operate stably, and advance Israeli sports.
