Israel's UN Envoy Offers Iranian Delegation Starlink Router
Israel's Ambassador to the United Nations, Danny Danon, approached a member of the Iranian delegation at the UN headquarters to present them with a Starlink satellite router. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had previously showcased such a router during his speech at the UN General Assembly.
Netanyahu had remarked during his address that a router of this type could assist Iranian delegation members should they wish to defect. In Iran, Starlink routers have been instrumental in providing regime opponents with internet access during times when the government has blocked internet connectivity and external communication, notably following protests in January where the regime's gunfire resulted in the deaths of tens of thousands of Iranian demonstrators.
