Ex-Footballer Yaakov Buzaglo Slams Netanyahu's War Rhetoric

Former footballer and media personality Yaakov Buzaglo has published a critical post on Facebook targeting Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's recent speech regarding the ongoing conflict. Buzaglo contends there is a significant gap between the political leadership's rhetoric and the reality on the ground, three years after the October 7th attacks.

"Netanyahu knows how to deliver a speech much better than reality," Buzaglo wrote, questioning the narrative of continuous victories presented by the Prime Minister. He pointed out that according to the speech, most of Israel's enemies have been defeated and the country is heading towards total victory. "Three years after October 7th, after so many dead, hostages, and wounded, we are allowed to ask questions. If we won, why are we still fighting?"

Buzaglo also criticized the public distribution of credit, noting that while the Prime Minister takes credit for successes, responsibility for the failures of October 7th is diffused. He questioned why it is so difficult to give security personnel the credit they deserve.

Concluding his remarks, Buzaglo stated, "A country is not managed through applause in a speech. It is managed through truth." He identified himself as a "proud leftist," clarifying that this stems from a desire for Israel to truly win, not to see it lose. Buzaglo's recent public statements include a call to address international criticism with facts rather than boycotts, continuing his demand for factual examination and transparent answers from the leadership regarding the nation's situation.
