Police Shoot and Kill Armed Man Firing at Building in Yafa an-Naseriyye
A young man, Omar Hawari, from Reineh, was killed by police gunfire in Yafa an-Naseriyye on Tuesday night. According to police, officers observed Hawari firing a long rifle at a building during operational preparations in the Northern District. Forces then engaged him and neutralized him by shooting.
The police stated that the incident's background was criminal. A spokesperson for Magen David Adom reported that emergency services received a call about a victim of violence at 11:53 PM. Paramedics found Hawari on the ground with a penetrating injury, no pulse, and no breathing. They initiated advanced resuscitation efforts, including artificial respiration and medication, before transporting him in critical condition to the Nazareth English Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead from his severe wounds.
