Israel Falls to Austria 3-1 in UEFA Nations League Opener
The Israeli national football team began its UEFA Nations League campaign with a 3-1 loss to Austria on Thursday. The match, considered the toughest on paper for Israel in the current campaign, saw the team display moments of promise despite the eventual defeat.

Despite playing with ten men for a significant portion of the second half, Israel managed to hold off Austria's attacks for a considerable time. However, the team ultimately conceded two late goals in the 90th and 93rd minutes, sealing the 3-1 victory for the Austrians.
