A new civilian forum, the "Forum for Promoting Aliyah and Returning Doctors to Israel," convened for the first time in Tel Aviv. This initiative arises from alarming data indicating that at least 1,370 doctors left Israel between 2023 and 2025. Compounding this exodus, approximately 24% of specialists in public hospitals are nearing retirement age. The forum aims to identify and address regulatory, bureaucratic, and economic barriers preventing Israeli doctors abroad and Jewish doctors from joining Israel's healthcare system.
