Opposition leader Yair Golan expressed surprise at Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's United Nations speech, where Netanyahu accused Qatar of spreading lies and hosting senior Hamas officials on October 7th. Golan suggested that Netanyahu's speech was not coordinated with his aide, Yonatan Urich.

Bennett argued that by failing to do so, Netanyahu effectively whitewashed and legitimized Qatar, which he described as an enemy whose hands are stained with the blood of Israelis.
