Israeli Ministers Praise Netanyahu's UN Speech, One Criticizes Missed Opportunity

Following Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's address at the UN General Assembly in New York, several Israeli ministers and senior political figures issued statements of support. Minister Miki Zohar stated that Netanyahu presented Israel's position with determination, exposed the hypocrisy of some world leaders, and emphasized the commitment to achieving victory. Defense Minister Israel Katz praised the "powerful speech," asserting that Netanyahu represented Israel with pride against international threats and criticism, adding that Israel will not compromise on its security.

Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana commended Netanyahu's ability to explain Israel's stance sharply and eloquently on the global stage, noting his resilience against political pressures. Communications Minister Dr. Shlomo Karai highlighted Netanyahu's quote, "The power of the people will overcome the people in power," calling it a prophecy and praising the Prime Minister for speaking Israel's truth against global hypocrisy. MK Boaz Bismuth declared, "You will not silence us, you will not silence him."

However, former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett offered a contrasting reaction, criticizing Netanyahu for missing a "historic opportunity" to declare Qatar an enemy and expose its involvement in the October 7th massacre. Bennett argued that by failing to do so, Netanyahu was legitimizing Qatar.
