Royal Caribbean Launches Affordable Cruises from Los Angeles for Israelis

The global cruise industry is experiencing unprecedented growth, with PortMiami, dubbed the "cruise capital of the world," set to welcome over 10 million passengers in 2026, a 17% increase from its previous record. This surge is supported by more than 30 cruise ships operating from the port.

In parallel with its East Coast expansion, Royal Caribbean is introducing new itineraries on the West Coast. Starting in October 2026, the Ovation of the Seas will offer short 3-4 night cruises from Los Angeles to Catalina Island, California, and Ensenada, Mexico. These accessible voyages will feature onboard amenities such as the Japanese restaurant Izumi Teppanyaki, the Pesky Parrot cocktail bar, and an upgraded entertainment complex.

Accommodations will include panoramic and family suites, alongside new deck areas with pools, private cabanas, and ocean-facing seating. "The data we've seen in Miami proves once again that cruise vacations have become the most sought-after and fastest-growing tourism product globally," stated Udi Shenbel, CEO of Senator, the exclusive representative of Royal Caribbean in Israel.

Shenbel added that the new Los Angeles routes allow them to offer Israeli travelers a perfect combination of a West Coast U.S. trip with a luxurious yet affordable cruise experience, starting at an unprecedented $249 per person for a four-night trip. He noted a growing demand among Israelis for short cruises as part of broader U.S. tours.
