Amal Football Clubs Unite After Years of Waiting

Two football clubs in Umm al-Fahm, Hapoel Umm al-Fahm and Maccabi Umm al-Fahm, have signed an agreement to merge, ending years of anticipation for local fans. The deal, overseen by lawyer Basel Jabarin, will see Maccabi Umm al-Fahm dissolved, with players from both teams forming a single entity representing the city.

Hapoel Umm al-Fahm will continue to play under its current name for the upcoming season, with a name change to be processed by the General Football Association offices afterward. The merger aims to create a unified team that encompasses all segments of the city's population.

As part of the unification process, the scheduled match between the two clubs at Al-Salam Stadium on Wednesday evening was postponed. This delay was intended to allow for the finalization of decisions regarding the clubs' associations and the formation of a joint player roster.
