Community Event Honors Reserve Soldiers' Families in Or Yehuda

The religious youth center "HaMetro" and the Bnei Akiva branch in Or Yehuda organized a festive event dedicated to the children of reserve soldiers serving in the city. The initiative was a community effort to express gratitude to families bearing the security and family burden during this period, as part of the support provided by the Or Yehuda municipality to the families of mobilized soldiers.

Young people from the city took full responsibility for organizing and running the event, from setting up activity stations to personally engaging with the children. Dozens of families enjoyed various activity zones, games, and crafts, alongside complimentary food stalls offering hot dogs, popcorn, cotton candy, slushies, and ice pops.

The highlight of the event was a performance by children's entertainer "Kobobo," who entertained and engaged the children with an energetic show. The event showcased the spirit of volunteerism and deep community involvement of the city's religious youth.

Or Yehuda Mayor Liath Shochat praised the initiative, stating that while parents are on the front lines protecting everyone, it is the city's duty and privilege to support the families at home. She added that the gathering served as a practical lesson in mutual responsibility, youth leadership, and heartfelt giving, expressing great pride in the young people from "HaMetro" and Bnei Akiva for their efforts to bring smiles to the children's faces.

"HaMetro" and Bnei Akiva thanked all the volunteers and partners who contributed to the event's success, emphasizing that the community will continue to stand by reservists and their families.
