Melisron CEO Ofir Sarid Resigns Due to Illness
Real estate company Melisron announced that its CEO, Ofir Sarid, will be leaving his position effective September 24, 2026, due to medical reasons. Sarid had initially taken a medical leave of absence earlier this month. The company has initiated a search for a new CEO and has appointed Oren Hellinger, the company's CFO, as acting CEO in the interim.
Sarid has served as CEO of Melisron since late 2019, succeeding Avi Levy. Prior to his CEO role, he spent eight years as the company's CFO, overseeing financial and business operations and managing relations with the capital market and shareholders. Before joining Melisron, he held the position of CFO at 013 Netvision.
During Sarid's tenure, Melisron expanded its operations beyond its traditional core businesses of malls and offices. A significant move was entering the residential sector through Aviv Initiative. In 2022, Melisron acquired a 50% stake in Aviv Initiative for approximately NIS 600 million, and in 2024, it purchased the remaining shares for NIS 1.25 billion, making Aviv Initiative the group's residential arm.
Melisron continued to grow its residential business in recent years, alongside its mall and office operations. Notably, Aviv Melisron won a tender in 2025 to build 320 apartments in Tel Aviv's Shdema area for approximately NIS 605 million.
