Melisron CEO Ofir Sarid Takes Leave for Health Reasons
Ofir Sarid, the CEO of Israeli real estate giant Melisron, has announced he is taking a leave of absence due to health reasons, the company reported Tuesday evening. Sarid, 55, who has led Melisron since 2019, will be unable to fulfill his duties, at least for the time being. Oren Gilinger, the company's CFO, has been appointed as acting CEO.
Sarid previously served as Melisron's CFO before becoming CEO, succeeding Avi Levi, who now controls Lahav. Melisron is a major income-producing real estate company, considered the second largest in Israel after Azrieli Group, and is controlled by Liora Ofer. The company is currently valued at approximately 20.3 billion shekels.
During Sarid's tenure, Melisron has achieved significant success, with its stock price nearly doubling over the past three years.
