Israel Railways Adjusts Schedules for Overnight Infrastructure Work

Israel Railways has announced temporary disruptions to train services on Monday, October 5, and Tuesday, October 20, due to essential infrastructure work on the tracks near Yavne. The work will be conducted exclusively during nighttime hours, from 10:00 PM until the end of service on both evenings. These changes will affect travel routes in the Ashkelon, Ashdod, Yavne, and Rishon LeZion areas.

Specifically, trains on the Ashkelon-Binyamina line will now originate and terminate at Lod and Rehovot stations. Additionally, the Beersheba-Herzliya line, which serves Sderot, Netivot, and Ofakim, will operate in two separate segments. One segment will run between Beersheba Center and Netivot/Ashkelon, while the other will connect Yavne West and Rishon LeZion to Herzliya.

Train number 673, usually departing Herzliya at 8:19 PM, will conclude its journey at Moshe Dayan station in Rishon LeZion instead of Ashkelon. To mitigate the impact on passengers, Israel Railways will provide free shuttle services connecting affected stations during the work hours.

Normal train operations are expected to resume by 4:30 AM the following mornings. Passengers are strongly advised to check the Israel Railways app, official website, or call the service center for the most up-to-date travel information and to plan their journeys accordingly.
