Former Israeli Social Services Director-General Yossi Silman Dies at 66
Yossi Silman, former Director-General of the Ministry of Labor, Social Affairs and Social Services, passed away Thursday at the age of 66. Silman served as Director-General from 2013 to 2015, under Minister Meir Cohen. He also served as the Director-General of the Holon Municipality from 2017 to 2020.
The Ministry of Labor, Social Affairs and Social Services, current Minister Haim Katz, Director-General Yinon Aharoni, and the workers' council issued a statement mourning Silman's passing. They described him as a dedicated public servant who served Israeli citizens in both the IDF and public service.
