Israel Weather Alert: Rain and Flood Risk Expected During Sukkot Holiday

The Israeli Meteorological Service has issued a warning regarding a potential shift in weather patterns during the intermediate days of the Sukkot holiday. While the holiday is expected to begin with pleasant weather and slightly cooler-than-average temperatures, a rain system may arrive later. Temperatures during the holiday are forecast to reach around 26-27 degrees Celsius in the mountains, 28 degrees along the coastal plain, and 29 degrees in the lowlands, providing relatively comfortable conditions for outdoor activities and travel.

However, the Meteorological Service is monitoring a possible change starting Tuesday, with rain potentially falling in the northern part of the country. By Tuesday night and into Wednesday, there is a chance the rain could spread to southern regions. Due to this possibility, the service is also warning of a potential for flash floods, particularly in the south.

Officials emphasize that this is a long-range forecast, and the situation could change in the coming days. The Meteorological Service stated it will continue to provide updates on the possibility of rain during the intermediate days of Sukkot.
