Man Charged with Assaulting Colleague Over Job Recommendation Dispute

Police have filed charges against a 20-year-old man from Arab al-Na'im for allegedly stabbing a coworker in the face. The incident occurred on September 8, 2026, when the victim, who had sustained a stab wound near his eye, arrived at a medical center in Arab al-Na'im.

Investigators from the Northern District quickly identified and arrested the suspect, also a resident of Arab al-Na'im. His detention was extended by the court as the investigation progressed.

The investigation revealed that the dispute arose between the two men, who worked together at a business in the Galilee region. The victim had reportedly advised against hiring the suspect's friend after the friend attended a job interview at their workplace.

Following this disagreement, the suspect allegedly grabbed a Japanese knife and attacked the victim, inflicting serious facial injuries. The Haifa District Prosecutor's Office has formally charged the suspect with assault and requested his continued detention until the legal proceedings conclude. The case is now before the Haifa Magistrate's Court.
