Israeli Security Forces Seize Vehicles in Operation Against Arms Traffickers

Israeli security forces conducted a targeted operation named "Mo'adim Lesimha" (Festive Occasions) aimed at disrupting the financial infrastructure of arms traffickers. The operation, a joint effort by the Judea and Samaria District Police (YAMAS SHAI), the Jordan Valley Unit, and other security elements, focused on seizing vehicles suspected of being purchased with proceeds from illegal arms smuggling.

During the operation, forces raided multiple locations and confiscated six vehicles linked to individuals known to security agencies for their involvement in arms trafficking. These vehicles were immediately processed for forfeiture, intended to prevent criminals from benefiting from illicit gains.

The operation is part of a broader, ongoing effort by Israeli security forces to combat serious crime and terrorism by targeting the economic foundations of these activities. The goal is to dry up the financial resources that enable arms smuggling and trafficking.

Colonel Nir Sarusi, commander of the Jordan Valley Unit, stated that the unit works within a combined security framework to thwart smuggling and arms trafficking along the eastern border. He emphasized the expansion of economic enforcement tools, including the seizure and forfeiture of assets suspected of being acquired through criminal activity. "The message is clear: we will not allow criminal elements to profit from their activities, and we will act to harm every link in the chain that enables and finances arms smuggling," Sarusi added.
