Model Accused of Espionage Released to House Arrest

Anna Bernstein, who presented herself as a model and social media influencer and is accused of involvement in a severe espionage case in Israel, was released to house arrest on Tuesday after nearly two years in prison. Bernstein and her partner are accused of acting on behalf of an Iranian agent, carrying out paid tasks that included spraying graffiti, hiding money, attempting to sabotage ATMs, and setting vehicles on fire.

Her partner faces additional charges for promoting two assassination plots in Israel and attempting to acquire a grenade and a sniper rifle. Bernstein was reportedly fully aware of these plans. During her investigation, she admitted to understanding that her partner was a "dangerous terrorist" but chose to ignore it.

The prosecution strongly opposed her release, arguing that the facility she was to be transferred to allows some residents to leave and use mobile phones. Despite this, the court granted the defense's request and ordered her release to an alternative detention arrangement.
