Ramat Gan Basketball Team Faces Greek Opponent in EuroCup Qualifiers
Elitzur Ramat Gan, a decorated Israeli women's basketball club, is set to begin its campaign in the EuroCup qualifiers against Greek team Proteas Voulas on Wednesday. Following a challenging and disappointing previous season, the club has undergone significant player acquisitions in an effort to return to the top of Israeli women's basketball.
Due to the inability to host games in Israel, Ramat Gan will play both legs of the qualifying round against Proteas Voulas in Greece. The first match is scheduled for Wednesday, with the second to follow on Friday. The team that wins by aggregate score will advance to the group stage of the EuroCup, Europe's second-most prestigious club competition. Maccabi Ashdod is also participating in the EuroCup group stage.
