Brookfield in Talks to Acquire Nice's Actimize Unit for $2 Billion
Canadian investment firm Brookfield is reportedly in negotiations to acquire Actimize, a financial crime-fighting software unit of Israeli tech company Nice, for approximately $2 billion. The deal is being handled by Brookfield's financial infrastructure division, though sources caution that the transaction is not yet finalized and could fall through. Nice, which provides customer relationship management and risk management solutions, has been rumored to be considering selling its Actimize-based financial risk management division, acquired in 2007, for several months.
Earlier reports indicated potential non-binding offers in the range of $2.5 billion, a higher valuation than the current discussions with Brookfield. Following the news from Sky News, Nice's stock saw an increase in pre-market trading on both the Nasdaq and Tel Aviv Stock Exchange. Nice, led by CEO Scott Russell, has a market capitalization of $6.9 billion and has experienced a slight stock increase year-to-date. In the second quarter of 2026, Nice reported revenue growth of 7.6% to $782 million, with cloud services revenue up 12.6% to $609 million. The company ended the quarter with $355 million in cash and no debt, though its GAAP net profit of $83.2 million was lower than the previous year.
Brookfield, a global alternative asset manager, oversees over $1 trillion in assets across more than 50 countries and is listed on the New York and Toronto stock exchanges, with a market capitalization of $73.5 billion. In a separate recent transaction, Nice acquired AI company Cognigy for $955 million last year.
