Israel Football Association Chair Rallies National Team for Euro 2028 Bid

The Israeli national football team is set to begin its 2027 Nations League campaign on Thursday, with the ultimate goal of qualifying for the Euro 2028 tournament. Following a press conference, the Chairman of the Football Association addressed the players, delivering a motivational speech emphasizing the historic opportunity before them.

"This is the mission of our lives," the Chairman declared, urging the players to focus on the Euro 2028 qualifiers. He stressed the significant efforts being made by the association to achieve this goal, stating, "Everything depends on you."

He described the team as a "winning team and a group of winners," drawing a parallel to the 1970 Mexican World Cup team, whose achievement is still remembered today. "If you want to be written in the history books, remember what they remember about those who were in Mexico in 1970. All your lives they will remember this for you, you can make this history," he told them.

The Chairman implored the players to bring passion and commitment, regardless of playing time. "I want your passion, but put it in your heads that this is the mission of your lives. Bring everything you can. Whoever plays one minute or 20, give your all so we can be the first to reach the Euros," he concluded.
