Noa Kirel rejects rumors after honeymoon medical scare in Japan

Noa Kirel addressed speculation about the medical emergency that cut short her honeymoon with husband Daniel Peretz in Japan. She had returned to Israel after only a few days in Japan because of appendicitis, then continued the honeymoon briefly in Italy, a closer destination. The episode sparked concern among fans and a wave of rumors about what had happened.

At a Sunday appearance in Tel Aviv for the launch of El Al Travel, Kirel said she did not undergo surgery in Japan, contrary to some reports. She explained that she was confused by the situation because almost no one she spoke to there knew English, only Japanese, and that doctors did not offer intravenous antibiotics as an option, only surgery.

Because of that, the couple decided to fly back to Israel for further treatment. Kirel also responded to gossip that she was pregnant and that the illness was a cover story. She denied that claim, saying the couple may be flattered by the attention, but there is still time before such news would be relevant.
