Israeli Reserve Brigade Concludes Three-Month Mission on Syrian Border

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced the conclusion of a three-month mission by the 228th Reserve Brigade along the Syrian border. The brigade was stationed in the border region to prevent threats originating from Syria. During their deployment, soldiers conducted several raids, apprehended suspects, and interrogated dozens of individuals.

According to the IDF, the troops also destroyed what they termed terrorist infrastructure and discovered weapons, including RPGs, mortar shells, and Kalashnikov rifles. This marked the 228th Brigade's fifth reserve duty period since the start of the war.

The 228th Brigade will be replaced by units from the 2nd Reserve Brigade. The IDF stated that the 210th Territorial Division will continue operations in the Syrian border area to safeguard Israeli communities, particularly those in the Golan Heights.
