Yair Golan: Over 80% of West Bank Settlers Can Remain in Homes

Yair Golan, chairman of the Democrats party, stated that over 80% of residents in Judea and Samaria (West Bank) can safely remain in their homes, asserting that no one intends to remove them. He specified that this applies to settlements like Gush Etzion, communities near the Green Line, areas around Jerusalem, and Ma'ale Adumim.

Golan, known for making controversial statements, presented a more moderate stance on settlements during an appearance on the podcast "Yasmin's Salon." He assured listeners that these residents "can all feel secure and relax."

Recalling his time as commander of Judea and Samaria, Golan explained that he had drawn maps illustrating how a significant portion of settlements could be integrated into a future arrangement. He described plans involving "fingers" of territory extending to encompass settlements like Kedumim and Emmanuel, connecting back to the border, and others supporting communities such as Oranit and Beit Aryeh. He also mentioned a plan for the Gush Etzion bloc, including Beitar Illit.

Golan believes these territorial configurations would allow the vast majority of settlers to remain in their homes, raise their families securely, and live in peace.
