Majority of Israelis Demand Stronger Security Measures in West Bank

A recent survey conducted by NEXT DATA and analyzed by Shlomo Filber reveals that 76% of Israeli citizens believe that security operations in the West Bank should be intensified to match those in Gaza and Lebanon. The poll, carried out on July 26, 2026, included 878 adult participants from across Israel and reflects growing public concern following a rise in attacks in the West Bank, which recently claimed the lives of Lt. Col. Yuval Ezra and Binyahu Malat.

Only 17% of respondents opposed increasing aggressive security measures in the West Bank, while 7% did not express an opinion. The survey also addressed perceptions of political discourse, with half of the participants agreeing that the political left is conducting a campaign to delegitimize settlers in the West Bank, whereas 48% disagreed and 2% had no opinion.

These findings highlight a significant public demand for enhanced security efforts in the West Bank amid ongoing violence and political tensions.
