Majority Supports Broad IDF Action Against Terror in West Bank, Poll Shows
A recent public opinion poll broadcast on Wednesday evening examined Israeli attitudes toward key political and security issues, including the summit between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US President Donald Trump, election-related flight funding, and counterterrorism measures in the West Bank.
Regarding the Netanyahu-Trump summit held the previous day, 40% of respondents considered it a success, 21% viewed it as a failure, and 39% were undecided. On the issue of political groups allegedly funding flights for Israelis abroad to vote in upcoming elections, 57% believed this constituted election bribery, while 36% disagreed and 7% had no opinion.
Security questions revealed strong support for military action: 83% of those surveyed said the Israel Defense Forces should undertake a broad operation against terror hubs in the West Bank, with only 11% opposing and 6% undecided. Additionally, 56% agreed that delegitimization campaigns against settlers and outposts in the West Bank encourage terrorism against them, 32% disagreed, and 12% had no stance.
The poll highlights widespread public backing for intensified IDF operations in the West Bank amid ongoing security concerns and political debates ahead of elections.
