Gaza Peace Council Proposes $2.45 Billion Reconstruction Plan
The Gaza Peace Council has put forth a six-month plan to reconstruct the Gaza Strip, valued at $2.45 billion. The proposal was finalized during a council meeting in New York, held on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.
The initial phase of the plan encompasses 66 projects. The council emphasized the immense need for reconstruction, estimating the damage across Gaza at approximately $35.2 billion. An additional $71.4 billion is projected to be required over the next decade for further development and recovery efforts.
