Palestinian Terrorist Kills Israeli Man in Car-Ramming Attack at Checkpoint
A Palestinian terrorist rammed his vehicle into a guard post at the Makabim checkpoint on Route 443 on Wednesday afternoon, critically injuring a 40-year-old Israeli man before being neutralized by security forces. The attack occurred around 5:00 PM when the assailant drove his car towards the checkpoint, attempting to breach the guard post manned by IDF soldiers.
Paramedics from Magen David Adom and United Hatzalah provided initial medical treatment to the victim, who was unconscious and suffering from severe injuries. He was subsequently transported to Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem in serious, unstable condition. Security forces at the scene immediately responded and killed the attacker.
