Palestinian Car Ramming Attack Near Ramallah Leaves Israeli Soldier Wounded

A Palestinian attacker carried out a car ramming attack near the B'el checkpoint on Route 443 on Wednesday, injuring an Israeli soldier. Security forces at the scene neutralized the assailant. Initial footage from the scene captured the moments of panic following the incident, with witnesses heard exclaiming in fear.

According to the IDF, security forces eliminated the terrorist who perpetrated the attack at the checkpoint. The incident occurred within the Benjamin Brigade area. Paramedics from United Hatzalah who arrived at the scene provided initial medical treatment to a man, described as being in his late 30s to early 40s, who was severely and unstably wounded. He was evacuated by ambulance.

Eyewitnesses and first responders reported that the victim, believed to be around 40 years old, was struck by the vehicle driven by the attacker. The police stated that the terrorist drove his vehicle towards a police car from the Judea and Samaria district, hitting one of the officers. The soldier, who was in the police vehicle as part of a joint operation with police, was injured and is receiving medical treatment. The attacker was killed by forces at the scene.

The car ramming attack on Route 443 follows a recent spate of terror incidents in the area, including a shooting attack earlier in the week near the settlement of Halmish, where a Palestinian attacker killed Natanel Karon from Alon Shvut.
