Artyom Demchenko, a 17-year-old right-back for Israeli Premier League club Maccabi Haifa, has been called up to the Ukraine U-17 national team squad. Demchenko, who will turn 18 in April, has previously played for Maccabi Haifa's youth team and has made five appearances for various Israeli youth national teams. These include one game for the U-17s against Venezuela and four games for the U-16s. He has played in the Israeli youth league this season, having been developed in Maccabi Haifa's academy since childhood and is considered a significant talent.
