Maccabi Haifa Targets Ukrainian National Team Winger Oleksiy Hutsulyak
Maccabi Haifa is reportedly interested in signing Oleksiy Hutsulyak, a prominent Ukrainian league player who recently became a free agent after his contract with Zhytomyr ended. The 28-year-old winger scored eight goals and provided six assists in 26 appearances in Ukraine's top division last season. Known for his versatility across attacking positions, Hutsulyak has also played for Dnipro-1, Karpaty Lviv, and Desna Chernihiv.
According to reports, besides Maccabi Haifa, clubs from the Persian Gulf, Turkey, and Belgium are also pursuing the Ukrainian international. Hutsulyak has earned 16 caps for Ukraine, scoring six goals, and his market value is estimated at 3.5 million euros. The transfer interest comes amid a quiet transfer window period, often referred to as the "silly season."
