Public Trust in Rishon LeZion Municipality Surges Significantly Over a Decade

A recent survey by Israel's Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) reveals a substantial increase in public trust towards the Rishon LeZion municipality over the past ten years. The 2025 Social Survey found that 81% of residents aged 20 and above rated the municipality's performance as "good" or "very good," a notable rise from 71% in 2015. This improvement places Rishon LeZion at the top among Israel's large cities, significantly exceeding the national average of 66%.

The survey also highlighted a marked improvement in the perception of equitable service delivery. In 2025, 75% of Rishon LeZion residents felt the municipality provided services fairly across all demographics, a considerable jump from just 57% in 2015. Nationally, this figure stands at 66%.

The CBS report noted that both Rishon LeZion and Petah Tikva showed significant improvements in municipal performance evaluations over the last decade among large cities. The annual Social Survey has been conducted since 2002, with the 2025 edition focusing partly on government services, using the 2015 survey as a comparative baseline.

The survey interviewed 6,452 individuals representing approximately 6.3 million Israelis aged 20 and over. Rishon LeZion Mayor Raz Kinlstich attributed the positive results to his administration's vision since 2018 to make the municipality accessible and responsive to all residents. He expressed pride and a sense of responsibility, thanking the city's employees and residents for their trust, and pledged continued efforts to enhance services.
